When casting, I often end up with a little bit of extra jesmonite mix in my mixing buckets after pouring into moulds so I started splatting the surplus wet mix into fresh moulds, building up layers of different colours over time. The resulting splatter designs make for a much brighter and louder impression than my block colour and terrazzo style options. 

This bespoke option allows you to pick the colours I splat into the mould. Just email across 2 - 4 colours of your choice to davidmcdiarmidstudio@gmail.com after making your order and if you have example images of the colour(s) to attach - even better!

I make these by handmixing each colour using pigments with a special marble effect jesmonite which he then casts in a specially made coaster mould. Each coaster is then sanded and polished to a nice sheen and fitted with cork pads to prevent scratching table tops. Finally each coaster is coated with a penetrating sealer to provide stain resistance against many liquids and environmental contaminants, and protection against water and oil.

Each coaster measures approx. 9cm (diam) x 1cm (h).
