Jesmonite

Craft Workshops

Let me introduce you to jesmonite - an eco-friendly alternative to resin I use regularly to make many of my own products.

Jesmonite is a 2-part casting material that you can mix with coloured pigments to make bright, colourful homewares in lots of different finishes. I run workshops teaching you about the different types of Jesmonite and their various uses, and how to use it to create your very own pieces.

See below for my latest workshop dates - if there are none on show, rest assured I’ll be adding more dates very soon but you can also subscribe to my newsletter below to be the first to know when new dates are announced!

Here’s what previous workshop attendees have said about their experiences

  • "Working with David and Jasmonite has been an excellent experience from start to finish. He communicated clearly, but in a relaxed and friendly manner. What really stands out is his flexibility to let you try different things for yourself"

Anon, Furniture Knob Casting Workshop, July 2026

  • “A very enjoyable and chilled way to spend a Saturday afternoon, learning about Jesmonite and practising various techniques. Good value we thought, for the time David spent with us and the take home items and after care kit he provided. Would definitely recommend.”

Fiona, Coaster & Matching Mini Coaster Workshop, July 2026

  • “The day was very relaxed and was really enjoyable. Learned a new craft that I hope to continue. David is very patient and gives the instructions in a nice calm manner and would advise anyone looking to try this to attend his workshop. ”

Linda, Coaster Set Workshop, March 2026

  • “David’s jesmonite coaster workshop was so much fun and very informative! Would recommend for anyone wanting to learn about the material or looking for a fun creative afternoon"

Laura, Coaster Set Workshop, March 2026

  • “David is a great teacher - laid back and patient with a gentle manner. This helped me feel confident enough to play around with the materials and techniques and get more creative as the workshop progressed. I enjoyed the chance to try out working with a new material and it was great to have something to take home at the end too. Thank you for a fun morning! ”
