When casting, I often end up with a little bit of extra jesmonite mix in my mixing buckets after pouring into moulds so I started splatting the surplus wet mix into fresh moulds, building up layers of different colours over time. The resulting splat style casts make a much brighter and louder impression than my block colour and terrazzo style options.
My furniture knob handles are made with a special marble effect jesmonite which I cast in a specially made mould. Each knob handle is then given an acid etch bath to clean their surface of dust and sanded to a smooth stone-like finish. The knob handles are then given a coat of stain resistant penetrating sealer.
Each knob handle measures approx. 3.2cm (diam) x 2.4 cm (depth).
Sold individually and supplied with hardware for installing.
