For the terrazzo style finish I collect and recycle leftover cured jesmonite pieces salvaged from previous casting jobs. I break these pieces down into little crumbs which are then added into fresh batches of white jesmonite mix and poured into moulds to create a terrazzo effect.

My coasters are made with a special marble effect jesmonite which I cast in a specially made mould. Each terrazzo style coaster is given an acid etch bath to clean their surface of dust and debris to reveal a rough stone-like finish. The coasters are then given a coat of stain resistant penetrating sealer.

Each coaster measures approx. 9cm (diam) x 1cm (h).
